CORE AND LIFESTYLE VACCINES FOR PETS
The Rabies vaccine is required by law in Texas for all dogs and cats older than four months. However, that isn't the only crucial pet vaccine, as several additional core vaccines are equally important. We typically recommend the combination DAPP shot for dogs and the FVRCP shot for cats. The DAPP shot prevents distemper, adenovirus, parainfluenza, and parvo, while the FVRCP protects cats from rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, and panleukopenia.
We also offer a number of pet vaccines based on lifestyle factors. We'll ask you a series of questions to determine which ones are right for your companion. A cat who spends all their time indoors has different needs than one who goes outside. And dogs who visit daycare, boarding, or grooming facilities need vaccines that other dogs don't. By working with you to determine your canine companion or feline friend's needs, we can protect them from the diseases they are most likely to encounter without over-vaccinating.
